Ms Bhuvaneswari Krishnamurthy
In 1990 Bhuvaneswari simultaneously graduated with degrees in Bachelors in Law (LL.B) from University of London, and a Bachelors in Public Administration (B.P.A) from Schiller International University.
She was admitted to the UK Bar in 1991 and was the second top scorer of Lincoln's Inn for that year.
After graduation she worked as a Legal Advisor for Crescent Petroleum Co. in the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to being called to the Malaysian Bar in 1998 she also worked as Legal Officer with Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED).
Bhuvaneswari did her Masters in Law (LL.M) with University Malaya, in the specific areas of Construction Law, Securities Regulation and Law of the Sea. Her Masters dissertation was on Investor Protection within the Securities Industries.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar, she joined the firm of Messrs. Mohd Daud Mohd. Nor, Arasu & Associates focusing her practice in the area of Construction Law related litigation.
She was also responsible for the conveyancing portfolio of the firm, and represented the interests of insurers and insured in the commencement and defence of tortious claims.
Prior to forming Bhuvan & Co., Bhuvaneswari was a trial lawyer at Messrs. Adha Selvi & Associates.
She headed the legal department where she aggressively represented the interests of the firm’s clients throughout Malaysia in areas of contract, commercial litigation & family matters.
Bhuvaneswari has more than ten years of litigation experience at both the trial and appellate levels, with primary focus in the areas of:
- general civil litigation,
- corporate advisory services,
- personal injury,
- products and premises liability,
- trade practices litigation,
- probate & administration and
- divorce & matrimonial proceedings.
Bhuvaneswari has vast experience in the drafting and vetting of various commercial instruments and agreements, as well as providing advice to corporate clients on due diligence exercises.
